Lebanese Sunni scholar Dr. Hassan Al-Moraib said in a November 28, 2023 show on Al-Jadeed TV (Lebanon) that he supports "anyone who is against homosexuality – whether (the Christian militia) Soldiers of God, or anyone else" and "anyone who is against the "Zionist enemy," including Hizbullah. When the interviewer asked how he can compare the two, Al-Moraib replied that "many of the soldiers in the Israeli army are homosexuals." He said that he wishes to become a martyr on the path of Palestine.
Dr. Hassan Al-Moraib: "I am saying to any person who is martyred on the path of Palestine and Jerusalem: May Allah accept you as a martyr. You are my role model. I wish I would be on the same path. I am sitting with you, here at the studio, with these clothes, and my wish is to become a martyr on the path of Palestine.

"I would carry a gun and I would even carry the equipment of the armed men."
Interviewer: "Why didn't you bear arms? Palestine was in need of support."
Al-Moraib: "If I had any military expertise and knew what to do with a gun, by Allah, I would have. If I could, I would do it."
Interviewer: "If the circumstances force you to bear arms..."
Al-Moraib: "I will bear arms and even work as a servant for people who bear arms. I would carry their equipment so that they could fight the Israeli enemy.

Interviewer: "You compare the two, Sheikh? The Israeli enemy and the homosexuals?"

Interviewer: "Are the homosexuals that dangerous?"
Al-Moraib: "Many of the soldiers in the Israeli army are homosexuals."
