Tsunami Reactions (6)- Saudi Cleric Muhammad Al-Majid Fundraising for Tsunami Relief: This is Our Opportunity to Prove We Export Love, Not Terrorism

#466 | 42
Source: Channel 1 (Saudi Arabia)

The following are excerpts from an interview with Saudi cleric Muhammad Al-Majid:

Al-Majid: Some of the TV channels with ulterior motives and some elements hostile to our country try to portray it as a country that exports terrorism, bombings, accusations of heresy, and hatred of the "other." But, through this campaign and the message of this child, we are showing the whole world that our country exports global empathy, love, harmony, peace, and Islam, and that it calls everyone to join this religion, to love, to brotherhood, to solidarity, and to compassion, because the Muslim [identifies] with every man, feels empathy for him, and comforts him in his time of sorrow.
