Saudi cleric Khaled Al-Felaij said that the holidays celebrated by "the infidel Jews and Christians" were "based upon Falsehood, heresy, and polytheism" and that it was haram for Muslims to celebrate them, to greet those who celebrate them, or to give or accept presents from them. His statements were posted on the Internet on November 13.
