Russian Political Commentator on Al-Jazeera: Jewish Oligarchs Planned Political Coup in Russia

In a recent Al-Jazeera TV interview, commentator Vycheslav Matuzov, chairman of the Russian Friendship Society with Arab Countries, said that the “Russian financial gang” of Jewish oligarchs planned a political coup in 1995.

Following are excerpts from the interview, which aired on March 9, 2014.

Interviewer: Let’s talk about another domestic Russian matter, which was exploited by Khodorkovsky from the opposition, when he visited Independence Square in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. To what extent is Khodorkovsky’s position accepted and encouraged in Russia? Please be brief.

Vycheslav Matuzov: Khodorkovsky was in prison for around 10 years, and he was pardoned. But he was not imprisoned only for financial offenses, but because, along with the Russian financial gang, all of whom are Jewish – Khodorkovsky, Gusinsky, Smolensky, Nevzlin, Fridman, and Aven... They planned a political coup in 1995.

Berezovksy’s manifesto, published in The Wall Street Journal, was clear. He was: “We, Russia’s seven leading oligarchs, control 60% of the Russian economy. Our role in Russian politics...” Khodorkovsky received his sentence after these statements.

That is why he is at Independence Square today.
