Rima Zahed, sister of Beirut blast victim Amin Zahed was a guest host on MTV in honor of the one-year anniversary of the port blast in a broadcast that aired on MTV (Lebanon) on August 3, 2021. She said that tonight the microphone belongs to the families of "martyrs of the port crime." She said that she was speaking "on behalf of the families of 219 martyrs who were killed by corrupt criminals, incompetent people, and conspirators." Zahed said that the families point their fingers at the president, the past governments, the parliament, and its speaker. She said: "Starting tomorrow, we will occupy your government ministries, parliament, your palaces, your dens, your homes, and the homes of your families until justice is done." On July 11, 2021, Rima was interviewed on Hoda Chedid's show on LBC TV, where she said that the Lebanese leaders killed the dreams of all the Lebanese people. Rima Zahed: "Good evening, and welcome to the MTV news bulletin. Tonight, the microphone is our, so that we can penetrate the ears and consciences of the corrupt politicians, who bask in the paradise of power, wealth and ambitions in Lebanon. Tonight, the microphone is ours – the families of martyrs of the port crime.

"We speak on behalf od the families of 219 martyrs, who were killed by corrupt criminals, incompetent people, and conspirators. We speak on behalf of those who were injured and sustained damage. We point our finger at the country and its president, as well as to the three successive governments, the parliament and its speaker, and to all of Lebanon's political parties and security agencies. Tonight, MTV news anchors were willing to let us replace them, but starting tomorrow, we will occupy your government ministries, parliament, your places, your dens, your homes, and the homes of your families, until justice prevails.

"I want to know who took away my brother, Amin, and who robbed us of our lives, by killing our children, our comrades, our brothers and our sisters, our relatives, and our friends, and destroyed our capital city."
