In an April 22, 2020 show on Channel 5 (Iran), Iranian TV host Mohammad Delavari said: "President [Rouhani] said [that] our economy is calmer than the economies of many other countries… If in Iran, the price of a simple and standard car suddenly increases by 10 [million toman] several times over, then the poor citizens [of the other countries] must be really suffering."
Mohammad Delavari: "The honorable President [Rouhani] had an interview, or a speech. He said: 'Our economy is calmer than the economies of other countries.' I am very curious to know what's going on [in those countries]. If in Iran, the price of a simple and standard car suddenly increases by 10 [million toman] several times over, then the poor citizens [of the other countries] must be really suffering, since our economy is 'calmer' than theirs. Where are these countries? I am very interested to travel to these countries and see what is happening there and what can happen in a less calm [economy]. And the value of the dollar looks like an ECG… Yet you can see that people are alive."
