Head of Syrian National Security Committee: U.S. Is Weak, Micronesians Are Cannibals

In a TV interview, General Muhammad Ibrahim, head of the Syrian parliament's national security committee, recently said that the U.S. is at a standstill, while China and Russia are making progress. He further said: "The people of Micronesia – a small country that always supports Israel – have a custom of eating human flesh." The interview aired on Syria's Sama TV on January 26, 2014.

Following are excerpts:

Interviewer: Perhaps the priorities of the U.S. differ from the priorities of France, of the U.K., or even of Saudi Arabia, when it comes to what is happening in Syria. What do you think?

Muhammad Ibrahim: That is a very smart question. In general, there are certain elements that govern the behavior of people, and different elements that govern the behavior of countries.

Let me give you an example of those that govern the behavior of people: A businessman invites people from France, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Micronesia. When he places before them a roasted lamb, roasted pork, a roasted dog, and a roasted child, each man will choose his designated [dish]. The Frenchman will choose the pork, the Saudi will choose the lamb, the Korean will choose the dog, and the Micronesian will choose the child, because the people of Micronesia – a small country that always supports Israel – have a custom of eating human flesh. When one of them dies, they argue over who gets to eat the heart.

The U.S. has reached the point where it is like a very wealthy, senile person who has come to a standstill. There is a group of countries that would like to conquer the top spot in the world, a spot currently occupied by the U.S. By the way of example, China, which was once in the 37th place in the world, now has the world's second largest economy. It has an annual economic growth of 8-10%. In a few years, three to nine years, the People's Republic of China will have the number one economy in the world, and its economy will boost other capabilities, such as its military capability.

Take the Russian Federation: From a country that used to beg for wheat and buy it, because it did not have any, it has turned into a country that produces 80 million tons of wheat annually. It has a surplus of seven trillion dollars and the largest reserves of diamonds. In other words, the Russian Federation's position has changed. These countries are making progress on their way to the top spot in the world, whereas the U.S. is standing in place.

The U.S. is no longer capable of threatening all the countries of the world, and of doing whatever it likes.
