Former Palestinian cabinet member Hassan Asfour said in a February 8, 2023 interview on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) that he does not regret the part he played in the Oslo Accords because the accords led to the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. He said that Rabin was killed because he signed the Oslo Accords and that he is considered "the most important leader in the history of the Israeli entity, and maybe even in the history of the Zionist movement."

Interviewer: "Do you regret being one of the people behind the [Oslo] Accords?"

Hassan Asfour: "On the contrary, I am very proud of being one of those people. History will do justice to these accords, which led to the assassination of Israel's top political and military 'king' [Yitzhak] Rabin. Just ask yourself why Rabin was killed. Rabin is considered the most important leader in the history of the Israeli entity, and maybe even in the history of the Zionist movement. Rabin was killed for one reason only — his signing of the Oslo Accords."
