TV Host on Egyptian MB TV Channel: The Americans Wail on 9/11, But Are Responsible for All the Massacres in the Arab and Muslim World

Egyptian TV host Muhammad Gamal Hilal said that on the anniversary of 9/11, "American wailers" would go on about terrorism, while in Burma, a genocide was being perpetrated against the Muslims. "This is happening in Burma, in Afghanistan, in Pakistan, in Egypt... in Syria, in Iraq, in Yemen, and all over the Arab and Islamic world," he said, claiming that racism constitutes "the guiding principle underlying the [Western world's] conduct toward us." Hilal's show aired on the Turkey-based Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood TV channel Al-Watan on September 6.

Following are excerpts:

Muhammad Gamal Hilal: "Today is Wednesday, September 6, 2017. In a few days, we will be marking the anniversary of 9/11. As you know, you will be hearing the American wailers and the media going on about the 'war on terror,' the '21st century,'' and 'such and such years after this and that,' and '16 years after…' They will be talking about terrorism and the war against it, and what happened in the world, and what the U.S. has done in order to eliminate terror.

"What the U.S. has done to eliminate terror is the tragedies that we are witnessing in the Middle East and the Islamic countries, which have become worthless. What the U.S. has done in its war on terror is that millions of Muslims have been driven out of their homes and killed.

"As you can see, this is the "New Middle East" talked about by Condoleezza Rice, Cole, and even Democrats, not only Republicans, as well as John Kerry and others. They all spoke about the "New Middle East" theory.

[…]

"The world is moving at a fast pace, with one event following another in the war against the so-called "terrorism," by which they mean "Islam," because they consider Islam to be tantamount to terrorism. This is what they want, and this is what they strive for.

"Today, we are going to talk about the genocide that is being perpetrated against our fellow Muslims in Burma. More than 5,000 Muslims have been killed because of their race and religion, in systematic crimes against humanity.

[…]

"5,000 people were slaughtered. This is yet another massacre against Muslims. This is happening in Burma, in Afghanistan, in Pakistan, in Egypt – the Rabia' Al-'Adawiyya massacre – in Syria, in Iraq, in Yemen, and all over the Arab and Islamic world. This is not happening in non-Arab and non-Islamic parts of the world. The entire world does not go into a frenzy.

[...]

"We know full well that our people are not equal to their people. That's what they are saying. Western people are not the same as non-Western people. They think that their people are one thing and that ours are something else. This is what they are saying. These are the racist terms that constitute the guiding principle underlying their conduct toward us. The result is what we see today: Muslims are worthless."
