Cleric Supports Paris Attacks in Al-Aqsa Mosque Address, Threatens Even Harsher Measures

#4734 | 01:16

In an address at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on January 16, Sheik Ali Ahmad said "to the people who were insolent toward the Prophet Muhammad: "Unless you stop saying such things, you will encounter a response even harsher than the Paris one."

Following are excerpts from the address, which was posted on the Internet.

Sheik Ali Ahmad: The greatest catastrophe, oh servants of Allah, was delivered to us today by people who purport to love the Prophet Muhammad, and by fake religious scholars, who denounced and condemned what was done in Paris. This is the greatest catastrophe: People who purport to love Allah and His Prophet denounce and condemn the defense of the Prophet Muhammad.

We say to the people who were insolent toward the Prophet Muhammad: Unless you stop saying such things, we shall inflict a painful punishment upon you, under the shade of the Caliphate. Your punishment will be even harsher and more humiliating in the Hereafter. Indeed, unless you stop saying such things, you will encounter a response even harsher than the one in Paris.
