On July 9, 2023, the China-based CCTV outlet posted to its YouTube channel a report about the PLA's new multiple rocket launcher system, similar to the U.S.-made HIMARS system. The repot highlights some of the system's features, including digital operation, random firing, quick projectile selection, and rapid firing and reloading. It is noteworthy that according to local Chinese outlets, the new launchers have been deployed in China's Fujian province, which faces Taiwan.
