Turkey-based Hamas official Talal Nassar said on an October 20, 2023 show that aired on Al-Shoub TV (Turkey) that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is "dead to us." He said that Abbas coordinated with the Israeli occupation against Hamas and the resistance in general. He added: "Mahmoud Abbas has been cast aside."
Talal Nassar: "Mahmoud Abbas has said that he was living under the boots of the occupation. He said that the security coordination [with Israel] was sacred, and that the resistance was despicable. Brother, we have nothing to do with Mahmoud Abbas. He is dead to us.
"He is worthless, as far as we are concerned, because he acted against the resistance and coordinated with the occupation, against our movement and against the resistance in general. Therefore, I say that Mahmoud Abbas has been cast aside."
