Minni Minnawi: ISIS is present [in Darfur] under the auspices of the Sudanese government, and it consists of members from various countries: Mali, the Central African Republic [CAR], and extremists from Chad, Libya, and Egypt. Now, under the auspices of the Sudanese government, [ISIS] is equipped with all the logistic capabilities, as well as accommodation. They are present inside Sudan, in known places and houses in South Darfur and in Kutum, and they have lots of weapons and military equipment. This is happening now, as we speak. When the people of Malha Wells revolted two days ago, because of the presence of ISIS under the auspices of the Sudanese government, the Sudanese government had to move them to Mellit, and when the people of Mellit protested against ISIS, they moved them to Kutum. That was yesterday. In addition, it is the Sudanese government that has created ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, and Sèlèka in CAR, as well as the terrorism in Libya.
That is why the Sudanese government now wants to be seen as if it is fighting terrorism, which was in fact created by it, and as if it is fighting human trafficking and the smuggling of refugees, so that it will not have to deal with the issue of peace. It wants to present itself this way to the international community, in order to avoid the issue of peace. What you have in Libya is the Sudanese government. It supports the Tripoli government and the terrorism there. All the [explosives used] in bombings in Libya, as attested by the latest UN report, came from the military factories of the Sudanese government.
