Shiite Iraqi scholar Yousuf Al-Nasseri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hizbullah Al-Nujaba movement, said that "our top priority is to topple the political regime in the 'Kingdom of Sands' in the Arab Peninsula – the Saud clan," which was "footing the bill for all the massacres in the region today." Al-Nasseri said that "they are more dangerous to us than Zionism" and reiterated: "We must topple the 'Kingdom of Sands' and pray in Medina and Mecca, and only then will we be able to pray in Jerusalem." The interview aired on Al-Mayadeen TV on June 5.
Interviewer: "There is a new resolution by the U.S. Congress, in which U.S. President Donald Trump calls for sanctions against you [Hizbullah Al-Nujaba Movement] and Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq. How do you view this resolution?"
Yousuf Al-Nasseri: "In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate. It is a source of pride and honor to be placed on the list by America, the country of the Great Satan. It is a source of great pride and honor to be placed on that list. We are waging a great battle, which is not restricted to Iraq, Syria, or other countries in our region. A global war is coming – a war between the forces of good and the forces of evil. The forces of evil are headed by the U.S. and global Zionism. It is only natural for us and others to be on that list. This list does not have any impact on our conduct or our ways. On the contrary, it only increases our faith, our steadfastness, our might, our determination, and our happiness at having the honor of fighting this Satan, which wreaked destruction upon the world, which stole the livelihood of the poor and the wretched, and which increases darkness, ignorance, hunger, and disease in the world."
Interviewer: "Sheikh, you spoke about establishing an army for the liberation of Palestine. There is another opinion, according to which these resistance movements, which gained lots of experience in recent years in their wars against terrorism – including your movement, which fought in Syria and Iraq, and including Hizbullah in Lebanon... Just as these movements fought terrorism in Iraq and Syria, why don't they gather all these capabilities and go [fight] in Palestine? What is stopping you from doing so?"
Yousuf Al-Nasseri: "Today, there is a single Islamic axis of resistance. Its patron and its sponsor is the Islamic Republic [of Iran]. That is obvious. Its main pillar is the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic – especially the IRGC in Iran – and there are other factions in the resistance, united in a single axis, espousing a single vision and a single strategy. But this is not enough. We must destroy the Arab political regime, which kowtows to Zionism and even sponsors and supports it. Who is footing the bill for all the massacres in the region today? It is the 'Saudi Kingdom of Sands,' together with the UAE. Who is defending Israel and urging it to attack Iran, promising to pay the bill? The 'Saudi Kingdom of Sands' – and this is done officially and out in the open. Therefore, we need a big change. We must make more preparations. I believe that we and the next generation will be able to change this reality."
Interviewer: "As resistance movements that went to Syria to fight terrorism, what prevents you from going to Palestine and liberating it from the Zionists?"
Yousuf Al-Nasseri: "Decision-making in the Arab political system – in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, 'the Kingdom of Sands,' Kuwait, and the other Arab countries... Most of these countries are not yet ready for this stage. Therefore, we may have to resort to toppling these systems. I believe that our top priority is to topple the political regime in the 'Kingdom of Sands' in the Arab Peninsula – the Saud clan. They are the main problem, the source of all the tragedies in this region. They are more dangerous to us than Zionism. We must topple the 'Kingdom of Sands' and pray in Medina and Mecca, and only then will we be able to pray in Jerusalem. Let me tell the entire world, in all honesty: We will not be able to pray in Jerusalem before we can pray in Mecca and Medina."
