Sheikh Mohamed Moued of the Council of the Palestinian Islamic Scholars in Lebanon called on a December 6, 2023 show on Al-Quds Al-Youm TV (Islamic Jihad – Gaza) on the Arab countries neighboring Israel to attack it. He said that if Israel is invaded by forces entering from within all its neighbors, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and from inside Palestine with support from Yemen Iran, Iraq, and the Islamic nation – the balance of power will change. Moed said American interest in the region are at stake, and called for the Suez Canal and the Bab El-Mandab Strait to be closed. He called on Arabs to take to the streets like in the Arab Spring, to stop oil expert, and to topple their leaders.
Mohamed Moued: "There should be a united front with all the weapons at our disposal. All the posts of the Zionist entity should be targeted with precision weapons. The forces should enter Palestine from all its neighboring countries – from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and from inside Palestine. I expect that with the support from Yemen, Iran, Iraq, and from the honorable people in our nation, in addition to the demonstrations – the balance of power will change immediately.

"Even the U.S. does not want this, because today, its interests are at stake, and it cannot wage war against the Middle East in its entirety. From here, I say: The least that Egypt should do is to close the Suez Canal – and I have said this many times in the past. The Bab El-Mandeb Strait should be closed completely. Call it whatever you want, and do it any way you want. The people can exert pressure to stop oil [export]. The Arabs should take to the streets and pressure their leaders.

"Oh Arabs and Muslims, now you should revolt against your leaders, declare that you support Gaza, and threaten these leaders [by saying] that either they exert pressure for an immediate ceasefire, or you are going to raid their palaces and throw them out. When they are toppled, the Zionists will halt their war immediately."
