Saudi Sheikh Abdallah Al-Muslih on Western Treatment of Mothers

#35 | 01:01
Source: Iqra TV (Saudi Arabia)

Saudi Sheikh, Abdallah Al-Muslih, Chairman of the Commission on Scientific Signs in the Quran, Sunnah of the Muslim World League, and former Dean of Islamic Law in the Saudi City of Abha discussed the differences between Islamic and Western cultures in his weekly religious ruling program on the Saudi-based religious TV channel, Iqra. Following are excerpts from his comments:

Sheikh Dr. Abdallah Al-Muslih: What is the divorce rate in some of the Western countries, in Europe or America? What is the divorce rate? What is the rate of sons who abandon their mothers in apartments where they live alone until they die without anyone knowing a thing about them? What is the rate of people who take elderly women and place them in a nursing home and go off to have a good time? The most he does is to visit her once in a while and give her a flower on a holiday or he peeks behind a curtain saying, "Bye, Bye Mamma." What kind of life is this?

In our society, when a mother or wife grows old, you see the compassionate hearts surrounding her with affection, love, dedication, mercy, and gentleness because Heaven is beneath her feet.
