This clip is a compilation of videos of Iranian parents whose sons have been victims of the Iranian regime crackdown on anti-regime protests. The videos were posted to various online sources on December 8 and 21, 2022. The clip features the parents of: Kurdish worker Pouria Javaheri, who was arrested on November 29, 2022 and charged with "rebellion against God" – according to human rights organizations, he has contacted his family only once from prison, telling them that he was tortured and had a broken rib; Dr. Hamid Ghare-Hassanlou, a 53-year-old radiologist who has been convicted of "corruption on earth" and sentenced to death by hanging; Dr. Ghare-Hassanlou's wife Farzaneh, who has been sentenced to 25 years in solitary confinement (see MEMRI Inquiry & Analysis Series No. 1672); Pouya Bakhtiari, who was shot to death during the 2019 protests; Saeed Yaghoubi, a 30-year-old protestor who has been charged with "rebellion against God" and who may be sentenced to death; and Iranian blogger Sattar Beheshti, who died in regime custody in 2012 – Gohar's mother said in the video: "May the one that ordered the execution of our young ones be speechless. May he become blind [witnessing] how our youth wither away. May you mourn the death of Mojtaba [Khamenei's son]."
