On October 7, 2023, just hours after Hamas invaded southern Israel and perpetrated a massacre in the Gaza Envelope in which more than 1300 people were murdered, many women were raped, more than 200 were taken hostage, Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank celebrated the attack in the streets. A video from Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) titled: "Palestinians overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation," showed celebrations in Gaza, Nablus, Jenin, and Bethlehem. The Iranian-affiliated Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) aired a report about Palestinian celebrations in the West Bank, according to which sweets were handed out in Nablus and in Jenin guns were fired "in jubilation." A little girl can be seen waving a rifle and a handgun in the air. Palestinian activist Omar Asaf said that "the only option people support is resistance and confrontation." Palestinian political Mustafa Barghouti said: "Today is a glorious day of historic proportion."

Nablus – Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Jenin – Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Bethlehem -- Palestinians Overjoyed with the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Mayadeen TV [Lebanon]."

News anchor: "Happiness and jubilation for the Al-Aqsa Flood. Palestinians in several West Bank cities participated in rallies supporting the resistance. In Ramallah, the people set out in a spontaneous rally, chanting slogans in support of the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades. They called for clearing the [Israeli] prisons, by swapping the Palestinian prisoners with the occupation soldiers captured by the resistance."

Palestinian Activist Omar Assaf: "The resistance has proven today, once again, that the only option the people support is the option of resistance and confrontation, and proved, once again, that this occupation is weaker than a spider web, like Hassan Nasrallah said."

News anchor: "In Nablus, sweets were handed out in the streets, and in Jenin, members of the Jenin Brigade prostrated in gratitude to Allah, for the triumph accomplished by the resistance. They fired their guns to express their jubilation. The national forces called to support Gaza, by going to the contact areas and clashing with the occupation."

Palestinian Politician Mustafa Barghouti: "Today, is a glorious day for the Palestinian resistance and people. The resistance paid with interest for the attacks of the terrorist settlers, and for the attacks against the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It paid with interest for those who normalize [their relations] with the occupation."
