Libyan Information Minister: Britain, U.S., France, Zionism behind Terrorist Groups Fighting in Libya

In a recent TV interview, Libyan Information Minister Omar Qweri said that the groups fighting in Libya were steered "by a single entity" - by the foreign intelligence services of Britain, America, and France. Speaking on the Egyptian Al-Tahrir TV channel, he further said that "Zionism is behind the entire conspiracy in the Arab world" and that Qatar was "a mere tool" in the hands of Israel.

Following are excerpts from the interview, which aired on February 8, 2016.

Interviewer: Various groups are fighting one another in Libya: ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Ansar Al-Sunna, as well as groups with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. What do you think about this conflict in Libya?

Omar Qwer: All these groups are steered by the same entity.

Interviewer: By whom?

Omar Qwer: Foreign intelligence services.

Interviewer: Who exactly do you mean?

Omar Qwer: Britain and America. France may have a minor role. All this is well known. We have been talking for a year about ISIS in Sirte, ever since the Copts were slaughtered. They were slaughtered by a British citizen. And what did Britain do? Did it apologize to the Egyptian and Libyan peoples for this crime?

Interviewer: I don't understand. Do you mean that Israel is using Qatar?

Omar Qwer: Of course. Zionism is behind the entire conspiracy in the Arab world. This is not my own analysis. The Zionists themselves said so on TV. You can see their meetings on YouTube. They finished off the Iraqi army. The Syrian army was reduced by half. When Morsi was in power in Egypt, they said that he could not even control the streets of Cairo, so how would he be able to control the Sinai? There are recordings of all this.

Interviewer: What is Qatar's interest in implementing Israel's ambitions?

Omar Qwer: Qatar is a mere tool.

Thus, the Egyptian and Algerian peoples, and the Arab peoples in general, should unite around their armies. They should not repeat the mistakes made in Libya and Iraq, as well as in Syria, even if only to a certain extent. The Syrian army was able to withstand the blow, even though it suffers attrition. According to the leaks from the Zionist enemy… By the way, the top advisor of Abdelhakim Belhadj is a French Jew called Philippe Salmon. We are talking about Abdelhakim Belhadj, the leader of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, who wants to establish a Caliphate in Libya.
