Following is an excerpt from an Iranian news report on new Iranian drones, which was broadcast on the Iranian news channel (IRINN), on September 25, 2006:
Newscaster: Drones of the new generation were given, in the presence of the defense minister, to the operational and combat units of the army and the IRGC. Long range, exceptional precision, the ability to function in the different climate conditions in the country, and high standards are among the advantages of this new generation of drones. Defense Minister General Najjar said, at the ceremony in which the drones were delivered: "We have become fully self-sufficient in the planning and building of this strategic product."
