Speaking at a convention of military attachés in Tehran, Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said that his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu sends him official reports and asks him for his opinion on various regional matters. His statements were broadcast by Iranian TV's Channel 3 on October 31.

Hossein Dehghan: "We hold consultations with Russia on almost all the regional issues - both on the political level and on the military-operational level. It might interest you to know that (Russian Defense Minister) Shoygu sends me an official report, and asks me for my opinion on various issues. "
