Iran Unveils New Anti-Ship Cruise Missile That Can Hit Vessels 'Like Aircraft Carriers' At 1,000 Kilometer Range

IRINN TV (Iran) aired a report about the Iranian navy's new cruise missiles during a December 24, 2023 show. According to the report, these new sea-to-sea cruise missiles, the Talaeyieh and Nasir, are capable of hitting aircraft carriers at a 1,000-kilometer range.

Presenter: "The rapid response capability for the protection of Iran's interests and the shores of the Sea of Oman with a range of 1,000 kilometers was unveiled with the new cruise missiles Talaeyieh and Nasir."

Narrator: " The Talayieh strategic cruise missile system with a 1,000 kilometer range, the Nasir cruise missile, helicopters equipped with intelligence and electronic warfare systems, sea-to-sea systems with 8 missiles, and the Sanjar smart attack and reconnaissance UAV, on board the Jamaran destroyer were among the most important capabilities added to the navy.

"However, among the most important capabilities that were added today were the Nasir and Talaieyeh cruise missile can be installed on a variety of destroyers, and with its dangerous warhead, it can hit, with high precision and speed, a variety of light and heavy enemy vessels, like aircraft carriers, at a range of 1,000 kilometers."
