In a speech broadcast live on Al-Alam TV on February 10, Abd Al-Malik Al-Houthi, leader of the "Ansar Allah" movement, said that they had begun to produce drones and had developed the Burkan 2 missile, "with a range that reaches Riyadh, reaches beyond Riyadh, and even beyond that."
Abd Al-Malik Al-Houthi: "Today, despite the tight siege, the harsh economic suffering, and the difficult circumstances of war, our people are developing their military capabilities to an amazing degree. Everybody worldwide has the right to be amazed by this. With the grace of Allah, (our people) has managed to make great and important strides. First and foremost among these capabilities is our missile capability. Beginning with the Sarkha missile, we have (developed) the Burkan 2, with a range that reaches Riyadh, reaches beyond Riyadh, and even beyond that. Today, by any standard, this is a great achievement. Given the economic circumstances of the (Yemeni) people, and its suffering due to the siege and the war, if it has managed to produce such great achievements, despite such circumstances, despite the reality - such an achievement has made the impossible possible, by reliance upon Allah. We are continuing to develop even more effective missiles with an even greater range, Allah willing. (Our people) has made another important and quality achievement: it has begun to produce drones."
