U.K.-Based Palestinian Academic and Muslim Brotherhood Activist Azzam Al-Tamimi: Embassy Move to Jerusalem No Big Deal, Since Tel Aviv Is Also Part of Palestine

Dr. Azzam Al-Tamimi, Chairman of the U.K.-based pro-MB Al-Hiwar TV channel, said that while the transfer of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem bore political symbolism, "it does not mean a lot to us, because "we want Palestine in its entirety." Al-Tamimi was speaking on Al-Hiwar TV on May 15.

Azzam Al-Tamimi: What does the moving of the [U.S.] embassy to Jerusalem mean? Not a lot, to tell you the truth.

Whether the embassy is in Tel Aviv or in Jerusalem – isn’t it all Palestine? When we say that it is a catastrophe that they moved the embassy to Jerusalem – does that mean it is not a catastrophe that Tel Aviv is occupied? That Jaffa is occupied? That Haifa is occupied? For us, the Zionist occupation exists. There is a political symbolism in the moving of the embassy, but the truth is that it does not mean a lot to us, because we want Palestine in its entirety.
