Former Jordanian Health Minister Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abbadi, who has also served as Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister, said in a September 15, 2020 interview on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) that since the UAE and Bahrain have never sent any soldiers to fight for Palestine, they are not familiar with the Israelis, with whom they are signing a peace deal. He added that they do not know that Israelis and the Jews are only "Shylocks" who are after their money.

Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abbadi: "I compare [the leaders of Bahrain and the UAE] to someone who falls for a beautiful woman, but does not know what fate awaits him. I am telling you that the people of the UAE and Bahrain will find out really soon what the Israelis will do to them. They will drain them. Those Jews are known [for that] historically. You know of Shylock and his ilk. You know of his record.

"I guarantee you that they are after ther money. They will take their money. They are shylocks. I don't want to say more than that. [Bahrain and the UAE] have had a marginal role in the Arab-Israeli conflict. They did not fight. They did not send soldiers. They did not shed a single drop of blood on the land of Palestine, unlike the people of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or Iraq. They do not know the Israelis. They are on the margins of the Arab-Israeli conflict."
