Former Egyptian Official Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi: West behind ISIS, Other Terrorist Organizations; Israel - Largest Center for Electronic Terrorism in the Middle East

Source: Palestinian Authority TV

Egyptian analyst Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi, a former assistant to the Minister of the Interior on cyber crime, said that "in America, in Qatar, and elsewhere, they cooperate with these terrorist organizations to achieve their own goals." Israel, he said, was "the largest center for electronic terrorism in the Middle East. They have with them groups like Hamas, ISIS,and others, which they fund and with which they cooperate, in order to infiltrate societies and recruit people." He was speaking on the Palestinian Authority's TV channel on September 6, 2018.

Following are excerpts:

Egyptian Analyst Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi: The point I would like to emphasize is that the terror organizations do not work alone. As you know, in America, in Qatar, and elsewhere they cooperate with these terrorist organizations to achieve their own goals.

[…]

These terrorist gangs and extremist groups rely on social media, and they use any pretext – religion, economy, games…

[…]

They brought people who created certain games, which they give to children for free through social media.

Interviewer: These games are based on violence.

Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi: Right. They let little children shoot, kill, and so on, so that when they grow up, they will be used to it. The well-known American website Bloomberg did a survey on ISIS, and found that over 30% of its members were recruited through social media, and Facebook in particular.

[…]

The West, or Israel, invest in the information and communications industry. They are the admins. They own the devices.

[…]

Israel is the largest center for electronic terrorism in the Middle East. They have with them groups like Hamas, ISIS, and others, which they fund and with which they cooperate, in order to infiltrate societies and recruit people. Israel provides them with technological support.

[…]

There are countries that fund, sponsor, and protect the [terrorists]. All these terrorist organizations constitute tools in the hands of the hostile intelligence agencies in the world, or in the hands of several hostile countries, in order to implement a certain policy. Go ahead…

Interviewer: All the terrorist organizations were created by America or Israel.

Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi: Exactly.

Interviewer: Behind every terrorist group in the world you will find either the U.S. or Israel, right? I’m talking about all these organizations without exception.

Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi: Who created ISIS?

Interviewer: Even before ISIS. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda…

Gen. Mahmoud Al-Rashidi: The Taliban and ISIS are one and the same. The Taliban fought the Russians in Afghanistan, and when the Taliban completed its mission, they couldn’t just bring it over here, so they created another organization, called ISIS or the Islamic State.
