On September 23, 2022, Mayadeen TV [Lebanon] aired a report on the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) military training for women in Gaza. The report showed the women training in tunnel warfare, throwing grenades, shooting rifles, and simulating taking over an Israeli military armored vehicle. Umm Qassem, head of the military framework for girls in the National Resistance Brigades, the DFLP’s military wing, said that the girls are determined to be among the National Resistance Brigades and that Palestinian women can undergo training next to the men.

Umm Qassem: "The revolution and the homeland run in our blood. We have found this revolutionary motivation especially among Palestinian women – married female university students, who have great motivation to be incorporated in this framework, and to participate in our struggle."

Female Fighter 1: "Even though I am still a student and still at school, when I heard about this military course, I did not hesitate and joined it, in order to defend our homeland, in light of the consecutive wars against our Palestinian people."

Female Fighter 2: "As girls, we are determined to be among the National Resistance Brigades, and indeed, we have proven that Palestinian women can undergo training next to men, in order to acquire military skills in these courses."
