On October 30, 2023, a video titled "TikTok Has Won Big for Palestine" was posted on the "A Certain Zhang Talks" account on the Chinese Kuaishou social media platform. In the video, a presenter boasted about TikTok's role in the spread of supposedly incriminating information about Israel's operations in Gaza, such as "scenes of civilians in Gaza being mercilessly killed." He said this has caused Haredi Jews to protest Israel's atrocities because Israel "does not represent the Jewish people and violates Jewish religious doctrines," and that the massive pro-Palestine protests throughout the West are a product of TikTok's role in the war.
He speculated that this signifies "that the people of the world have successfully freed themselves from the information cocoons established by the Jewish elites," arguing that thanks to TikTok, the innocent Gazans who have died under Israeli fire "have awakened every conscientious person." He also argued that Western politicians are so determined in targeting TikTok because it "shakes their foundations" and undermines their plans, adding: "When the public collectively awakens, it will be the end for them."
Presenter: "TikTok has made a significant contribution to Palestine! Have you noticed that this conflict between Palestine and Israel is different from the past? What's the difference? In the past, the Western world, from governments to the public, almost uniformly supported the Jewish people, and those who did not support them were simply indifferent. But this time it's different. As the Israeli army attacked Gaza, the scenes of civilians in Gaza being mercilessly killed were shown in real-time and unfiltered on social media platforms like TikTok to people all over the world. "First, Haredi Jews burned the Israeli flag to protest against Israel's atrocities towards the Palestinian people, stating that Israel does not represent the Jewish people and violates Jewish religious doctrines. Second, the American public marched in front of the San Francisco Capitol building in support of Palestine. Third, tens of thousands of people in Australia showed their support for Palestine. Fourth, a hundred thousand people marched in London, England, in support of Palestine. Fifth, Canadians raised the Palestinian flags in support of the Palestinian people.
"Have you noticed? In the Five Eyes Alliance of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, four countries already have massive public marches supporting Palestine, signifying that the people of the world have successfully freed themselves from the information cocoons established by the Jewish elites. It's not that they couldn't discern right from wrong before, but that they were blinded. Now, with the presence of TikTok, they receive unfiltered, real information. The children, elderly, women, and innocent civilians who died under Israeli fire have awakened every conscientious person.
"So, do you see why Western politicians are trying every means to target TikTok? Because it shakes their foundation and prevents their 'pacifier plan' from going smoothly.
