Abbas Zaki Of Fatah's Central Committee: Nobody Attacked Israel; Gaza Envelope – Part Of Gaza; Israel Does Not Have The Right To Self-Defense

Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah Central Committee said in a January 20, 2024, phone interview with Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) that the Americans cannot say that Israel has the right to self-defense, because "nobody attacked Israel." He explained that it is Israel that is attacking Gaza, carrying out a "blatant assault."

Abbas Zaki: "The [Americans] are talking about Israel's right to self-defense. It is Israel that is attacking Gaza. Nobody attacked Israel. Even that 'Gaza Envelope' was Arab land that belonged to Gaza, but in 1950, Egyptian General Mahmoud Riad gave these 200 square meters to Israel, thus reducing the area of Gaza from 565 to 365 square kilometers.

"Therefore, this blatant assault on Gaza... the U.S. or anyone else is not allowed to say that these [Israeli] terrorist occupiers have the right to self-defense, at a time when George Washington or others... The people... When France fought the Nazism, when there were wars, for example, of China and Japan, how come they had the right to defend themselves, whereas the Palestinians did not have the right to self-defense?"
