On February 26, 2017, it was reported that the Supreme Political Council of Yemen had revealed its first ever "indigenous" drone. The drone's designation is "Rased," which means "observer," and it was unveiled to the public during Yemen's Drone Exhibition. The head of the country's Supreme Political Council, Saleh Al-Samad, attended the unveiling ceremony, which also featured several other drones on display, designed to carry out offensive, reconnaissance and espionage operations.
It should be noted that despite being called "indigenous," the Rased drone appears to be a modified Skywalker X8 drone.
