February 5, 2018

A Western woman who is a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) appears to be sharing photos and messages from Syria on Instagram. The woman describes herself as a muhajirah ("an immigrant," i.e. an immigrant to the Islamic State) in her Instagram byline. On February 1, she posted a well-known image circulated by ISIS in early 2017 that shows a militant holding a drone. She wrote: "Alhamdullilah allah is so merciful that he allowed this little drone from the Islamic State put so much fear in the heart's of the kuffar... whilst they are using all types of woppens [sic] on us. The only thing we see in their rockets is our Jannah [Paradise] and shahada [martyrdom] every time we hear planes we wish that the next rocket comes on us so we can meet our Lord #martyrdom."
