On March 11, 2015, the Turkish hacker group RedHack successfully hacked and defaced the website for the Istanbul Police Association. The cyber-attack took place on the one year anniversary of the death of Berkin Elvan, a Turkish teenager who died March 11, 2014, after spending months in a coma due to injuries sustained from a tear gas canister during Istanbul's Gezi protests.

The defaced page featured the above image, which read in part: "Berkin Elvan is immortal! The killers continue to grow more afraid. Because they are afraid; Killer AKP and their lackeys are afraid of the revolution...."
