On December 15, 2014, the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) announced on its official website that it had hacked and defaced 16 Saudi government websites. The hack was part of the #ActAgainstSaudiArabiaTerrorism operation, which the SEA says is meant to send a message to the Al-Saud regime for its use of "terrorist groups for its dirty work." The defaced sites featured the image and message shown below.

In the same announcement, the SEA said that the Turkish hacker group Turkguvenlligi managed to hack the SEA's own website, forcing the group to find another web host.
