A South African jihadi of Indian descent recently opened Twitter and Tumblr accounts promoting ISIS ideology and offering advice to those wishing to travel to the Islamic State, especially from South Africa. For this purpose, the jihadi provides his username on the secure messaging apps KiK and Wickr, as he is reluctant to discuss the particulars openly. His Tumblr page features an introduction to a comprehensive guide on traveling to the Islamic State, but the full guide is only available upon direct request using the aforementioned secure apps.

Additionally, the jihadi revealed that mobile data connections are not allowed in the Islamic State for security reasons, and therefore jihadis use WiFi service at internet cafes etc.
