Saudi Investment Conference Website Hacked, Defaced With Image Of Muhammad Bin Salman Preparing To Behead Jamal Khashoggi

November 5, 2018

On October 22, 2018, The Daily Mail reported that the website of the Future Investment Initiative, an annual conference held by Saudi Arabia, had been hacked. Hackers posted an image on the conference's website showing Saudi Crown Prince Muhammd bin Salman holding a bloody sword over a kneeling Jamal Khashoggi while masked militants hold up an Islamic State (ISIS) flag.

The hackers also posted on the website a message that reads: "For the sake of security for children worldwide, we urge all countries to put sanction on the Saudi regime. The regime, aligned with the United States, must be kept responsible for its barbaric and inhuman action, such as killing its own citizen Jamal Khashoggi and thousands of innocent people in Yemen. The medieval Saudi regime is one of the sources for #Terrorism_Financing in the world." The conference was scheduled to begin on October 23.
