Pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Media Outlet Warns Its Followers About Fake Accounts Run By 'Infidel Intelligence Agencies' As Part Of Campaign Trapping ISIS Supporters

On April 21, 2024, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released a statement claiming that "the infidel intelligence agencies" have established two new fake accounts, one on Telegram and another on Facebook, explaining that the agencies managed to take control of one of the outlet's Facebook accounts and used it to spread links to the fake accounts.

The media outlet warns "not to communicate with these accounts and not to open any links or download files that come from these accounts or any unknown accounts," adding that its followers should verify the media outlet's official channels before communicating with any channel of an account claiming to belong to the outlet.
