On April 4, 2018, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated tech channel on Telegram shared a link to an article warning of a new Android malware called KevDroid that records phone calls and steals private data. According to the article, which was published on Thehackernews.com, the malware "is a remote administration tool (RAT) designed to steal sensitive information from compromised Android devices, as well as capable of recording phone calls."
