Pro-ISIS Tech Group Warns Supporters Not To Use Bitcoin

On April 17, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) tech group, which focuses on spreading technical and cyber security related information to supporters, released a poster in Arabic, English and French on its website, warning supporters not to use Bitcoin.

The posters, which were widely circulated on pro-ISIS online channels on Telegram, warn that Bitcoin money transfers are not safe, adding that the transactions are monitored and information is transferred to government authorities.
