Pro-ISIS Outlet Recommends Web Browsers, Extensions For Secure Browsing

On November 8, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram outlet specializing in providing information security tips published a poster recommending web browsers other than TOR, recommending that supporters use them for non-ISIS-related online activities. The outlet recommended using the browsers Firefox or Bromite, and using the ad-blocking extension uBlock Origin, and HTTPS Everywhere to encrypt website communications, as well as Privacy Badger to block third-party trackers.
