A pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet on Telegram reported on October 4, 2023, that a drone attack targeted a graduation ceremony held at the Syrian army's military college in Homs, killing over 70 officers and wounding 200. The channel clamed two major generals were killed in the attack. No claim of responsibility has been released as of this writing.
A prominent ISIS lauded the drone attack on his Telegram channel, and argued that in the event that ISIS makes a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, its detractors will blame it for the Syrian regime's ongoing shelling of the Idlib region, and will likely claim that the military college attack prearranged by ISIS and the regime.
