Pro-ISIS Hacker Group 'United Cyber Caliphate' Defaces Several Websites

On May 24, 2018, an announcement circulated on Telegram stating that the pro-Islamic State (ISIS) hacker group United Cyber ‎Caliphate (UCC) was resuming its activities after a period of inactivity. ISIS supporters on Telegram questioned the authenticity of the message, but in the following days the group defaced at least four webpages and threatened further attacks. The UCC, which comprises several subgroups (Caliphate Cyber Army, Ghost Caliphate Section, Anon Terror, Fighter Muslim Cyber Caliphate, Sons Caliphate Army, and Anonymous Caliphate), has been responsible for hacking and defacing websites and doxing information on pro-ISIS social media networks. The pages hacked most recently were hosted in Canada, Norway, Indonesia, and Brazil.
