On August 13, 2023, a user of the Rocket.Chat encrypted server operated by the Islamic State (ISIS) published an article responding to the recent announcement of the killing of the group's fourth caliph by assuring supporters that ISIS will soon experience a resurgence and that the U.S. and other Western countries will be brought to collapse with remote attacks carried out by mujahideen, such as cyber attacks that will turn their weapons against them.
