Iran Threatens To Demolish U.S. Base In Bahrain, Use Electronic Warfare If Attacked

On February 5, 2017, it was reported that a senior official in the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission and former Islamic Revolution Guards Corps that the smallest act aggression against Iran by the U.S. would be responded to by razing to the ground the U.S. base in Bahrain. Mojtaba Zonour stressed that Iranian forces had prepared for asymmetric war and had made great advances in the field of rocketry, and said that if the U.S. fires a missile at Iran, they would responds by immediately firing a missile at Tel Aviv. Another official, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, referred to military drills being carried out in Semnan province, saying that "All the equipment deployed in the air defense drills, including missile systems, radar systems, command control centers and electronic warfare were indigenous and made by Iranian experts and engineers."
