Iran Holds Cyber Defense Exercises

The official Iranian news agency IRNA noted that Iran has held cyber defense exercises in five provinces, as reported by head of Passive Defense Organization Brig.-Gen. Gholamreza Jalali.

Jalali said that the goals of the exercises included testing the official resistance against cyber threats.

For the first time, Iran held security operations center (SOC) exercises in the Telecommunication Infrastructure Company of the Communications and Information Technology Ministry.

Jalili previously said that Iran is fully prepared to defend against any possible cyber attack by other countries and that the country has plans to use cyber shield defense system against for future attacks.

Passive Defense Organization deputy head Brig.-Gen. Gholam Ali Heidari said Iran has the necessary equipment and experienced experts to defend against enemy cyber attacks.
