Iran-Based Jihadi Group, Jaysh Al-'Adl, Solicits Cryptocurrency Donations On Telegram And On Its Official Website

On April 7-8, 2024, the official media outlet of the Iran-based Salafi-jihadi group Jaysh Al-'Adl, published several posts, in Farsi, on Telegram and on its official website requesting donations in bitcoin and Tether (USDT) cryptocurrencies. According to the media outlet, soliciting donations in cryptocurrency was introduced following frequent requests by supporters among devout Muslims and rebels to "introduce a safe way" to donate to Jaysh Al-'Adl.
