On October 8, 2023, Hamas's Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades military wing shared on its Telegram channel a video showing fighters operating firing "Zouari" suicide drones against a simulated target. On the same day, Palestine Today Online published a video showing drone operators in a control room belonging to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades, as well as "Sayyad"-type suicide drones being launched.
