On May 1, 2018, an apparently German-speaking jihadi fighter who is currently in Syria and is likely a member of Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) solicited donations on his English and German Telegram accounts. The post seems to have been written in German and then translated into English using Google Translate. The message says that the funds will be used to equip a jihadi fighter with new magazines for a gun and calls on Muslims in Europe to contribute. A ProtonMail email address is provided as contact information.
