Gaza-Based Media Outlet Continues To Solicit Cryptocurrency Donations, Claims Donations Via Tether Now 'Blocked, Confiscated By Israeli Occupation'

On October 23, 2023, a news agency, which supports Hamas and other militant groups in the Gaza Strip continued to conduct online fundraising campaigns after the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The channel has been requesting donations in cryptocurrencies, and provides wallet addresses, network identifiers, and QR codes.

The post stressed that donations must be made only in Bitcoin and Ethereum, and alerted potential donors not to donate in Tether (USDT): "Please do not send USDT because the Israeli occupation blocks withdrawal and seizes any amount sent in USDT."
