Al-Shabab Seizes Two U.S. Drones That Crashed In Southern Somalia In Under A Week

On January 31, 2018, the Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen-affiliated Shahada News reported that the group had seized control of a U.S. drone that had crashed in the outskirts of the coastal town of Kismayo.

This was the second American drone to crash in the same area in less than a week.

Last week, Shahada News reported on Al-Shabab's capture of the previous American drone, which had crashed in the town of Berhani, outside Kismayo.

No photos were provided of either drone.
