The Saudi-owned TV and news channel Al-Arabiya reported on its Facebook page that hackers had attempted to interfere with online content on its English-language website. The site was temporarily offline.
A number of Saudi websites have been targeted with DDoS attacks since Saudi authorities' January 2, 2016 execution of Shi'ite cleric Sheikh Nimr Al-Nimr, along with 46 others, escalated Saudi-Iran tensions.
